Nicole Blanchard is a 2022 editorial summer intern, attached primarily to McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Long-Term Care News. She is a rising senior at the University of Maryland in College Park, where she has a double major in journalism and history. She expects to graduate in the spring of 2023.
Nicole has written for various campus publications, notably producing her favorite long-form piece on systemic transportation inequality in Prince George’s County, MD. She always has had a passion for the caregiving industry — young and old — and has been involved in child development and education for almost a decade.
During the 2022 spring semester, she studied in Rome, where she immersed herself in Italian culture. She also traveled throughout Europe.
