Nursing homes filled more of their beds in the third quarter this year compared to the second quarter, according to a new report.
The median occupancy rate for a nursing home within the 30 largest metro markets in the United States increased to 93.3% compared to 92.7% in the second quarter of 2005, according to the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry.
But rates for the third quarter fell slightly compared to the third quarter of last year. Rates in that quarter totaled 93.4%.
