Bethesda Rehab & Senior Care will join Norwood Life Society effective Oct. 31, the provider announced.

Bethesda will continue to operate as a nonprofit senior living campus in Chicago. It offers long-term care, short-term rehab and a senior day program. It is in the process of opening outpatient rehabilitation.

Bethesda’s foundation will be merging into the Norwood Life Care Foundation to provide unified fundraising.

“Besides the corporate support, resources and strategy this merger provides, we are thrilled to announce a three-year, three million dollar capital improvement plan for the Bethesda campus,” said Julie Boggess, Bethesda’s CEO. “These capital improvements, including a new, resident-focused memory support unit, are designed to work hand-in-glove with our recently opened Diamond Post-Acute Rehab Center to round out our offerings. We are excited to be joining such a vibrant organization.”
