Salaries for nursing home administrators spiked 3.8% this year, when comparing facilities taking part in the nation’s biggest survey in both 2015 and 2016.
That leap was well above the 2.5% bump a year earlier.
The median salary level for administrators for all nursing homes taking part was $104,210, according to the “Nursing Home Salary & Benefits Report 2016-2017.”
The report, which was released Aug. 5, is published by the Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service, in cooperation with LeadingAge and with support from the American Health Care Association.
Directors of nursing enjoyed a 2.73% increase on a same-facility comparison. Their all-facility average salary was $92,141. Assistant DONs rang in at $69,639.
Registered nurses experienced some of the healthiest hourly raises, as competition for them among employers heated up, survey officials noted.
The HCS report includes salary and benefits data from more than 155,300 employees of 2,076 participating nursing homes.
