J&J Flooring Group’s Kinetex textile has introduced its first modular plank products.
Umbra and Umbra Stripe, which feature lines to create a multicolored floor, are part of Kinetex, a textile composite flooring. All Kinetex products are constructed of knitted polyester fabric and cushioned polyester felt backing.
The product has the durability of hard surface flooring but with a soft textile aesthetic, the company said. It helps with acoustics, comfort, cleanliness and has better slip-and-fall resistance than traditional hard surface flooring.
Kinetex has 50% lower environmental impact than traditional hard or soft surface flooring, the company said, with products that contain 55% recycled content,
