Joerns Healthcare and RecoverCare announced a merger last week.

The merger will create “one of the leading healthcare equipment providers across the continuum of care, offering providers a full suite of products and services through one of the most comprehensive distribution networks in the nation,” the companies said. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. It is expected to close by the end of the second quarter in 2014.

Joerns is controlled by investment firm Quad-C Management; RecoverCare is controlled by Los Angeles-based firm 
Aurora Capital Group. Joerns is based in North Carolina, RecoverCare is based in Louisville.
