The National Alliance of Wound Care has announced the launch of a new publication, the Wound Care Advisor.
It will be available as a bimonthly electronic journal. Its purpose will be to provide practical, evidence-based information on the clinical management of skin, wounds and ostomy, according to the credentialing organization.
Donna Sardina will serve as the e-journal’s editor-in-chief. Sardina is co-founder of the Wound Care Education Institute. She also is a past “Ask the Treatment Expert” for McKnight’s Long-Term Care News.
The e-journal will read much like a traditional printed journal but also have multimedia content. All content can be found at www.woundcareadvisor.com. Journal articles will be peer-reviewed. They will deliver insights readers can immediately apply in practice and use to advance their professional growth, according to the alliance.
Wound Care Advisor will be led by a 14-member editorial advisory board. The NAWC is the largest wound care certification and member organization in the United States. Through its credentialing board, it offers WCC, DWC and LLE certifications.
