A lucky group of long-term care workers will split $15 million in lottery winnings, according to news reports from Toronto. The staff is based at the city-run Seven Oaks nursing home.

A spokeswoman for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. is still determining how many employees are eligible to share in the Lotto Max jackpot winnings.

The timing for affected employees couldn’t be much better. Toronto lawmakers are reportedly considering funding cuts to a number of services, including the city’s 10 long-term care facilities.
