Some basic services common to most CCRCs include meals, grounds maintenance, local transportation, security systems and on-site physician services. Some communities may offer a greater number of services than others, such as housekeeping, laundry service, or the processing of Medicare and insurance reimbursement forms. Basic services are most often covered with the cost of the housing unit, but others may have to be paid for separately, depending on the CCRC.
