The St. Louis Zoo has renamed its elephant sanctuary the "Medline Elephant Oasis." The habitat supports the zoo's nine Asian elephants. Medline received the naming rights after making a $5.8 million donation.

Medline recently introduced a government approved medical face mask that can inactivate flu viruses. In addition to filtering the air, the firm's BioMask targets harmful pathogens -- including imminent pandemic and seasonal strains of influenza viruses. The new product was unveiled last week at the APIC conference.

Medline Industries has launched a FitRight line of adult briefs. The new product is intended to help caregivers better deal with incontinence. "We have completely redesigned adult incontinence products to fit better, be more absorbent and more comfortable to give residents a sense of normalcy and independence," said Dan Love, president of Medline's personal care division. Extra-absorbent polymers help residents feel dryer. The product also contains soft anti-leak guards to reduce leakage.
