Whirlpool Corporation has agreed to buy American Dryer Corporation, a privately held company that manufactures and markets coin-operated, on-premise, industrial and specialty laundry equipment.

The acquisition will allow Whirlpool to reach new markets for its commercial laundry business, the company said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Whirlpool expects to close on the purchase of ADC in early July, with integration activities happening throughout the balance of 2015. ADC has headquarters in Fall River, MA, and approximately 230 employees.

A Whirlpool statement ADC’s “manufacturing facility will become a valuable part of the Whirlpool manufacturing portfolio.”
