The Medicare Learning Network will discuss how Medicare data elements can be used to measure care development during a conference call on August 31.

CMS experts will discuss how post-acute care providers, skilled nursing facilities and long-term care hospitals can use the data to develop care practices within their organizations. Participants also will learn how information taken from assessment instruments can be used to calculate quality measures to fulfill IMPACT Act requirements.

A pressure ulcer measure will be used as an example of how providers can utilize the data, and the call will conclude with a question-and-answer session. Continuing education credits will be available to those who participate.

The call is scheduled to take place from 1:30-3 p.m. Eastern. Registration will close at noon on the day of the event. For more information, click here.
