The annual fall conference of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care is less than a month away. The group's biggest annual event will take place Sept. 26-28 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

Keynote speakers will include Paul Irving, chairman of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich; and former U.S. Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers.

Operators and investors within the seniors housing and care sector are facing a number of pressing market conditions — from increasing competition and ongoing construction, to labor challenges and uncertainty due to policy and regulatory changes. This year's NIC program will focus on the present market conditions operators and investors are facing and the trends, disruptions, and innovations that will shape senior living in the future.
