The American Association of Directors of Nursing Services will hold its first national conference Wednesday through next Friday in Baltimore. Themed “Aligning for the Future of Post-Acute Care,” the event kicks off with keynote speaker Suzanne Gorden, an award-winning journalist and author/editor of 18 books, including When Chicken Soup Isn’t Enough, Stories of Nurses Standing Up for Themselves, Their Patients, and Their Profession.

Educational sessions will cover leadership, risk management, regulatory and compliance issues, among others. Certification prep workshops take place Monday through Wednesday, in advance of the official start of the conference. Tabletop exhibits will be on display Wednesday and Thursday.
