In an effort to help senior care providers help victims of elder abuse, the American Society on Aging, in collaboration with the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, is offering two five-week online courses on elder mistreatment that can be taken at flexible times.

“Understanding Abuse and Neglect (Part I)” starts Monday and will teach various recognition factors. This course can be taken at users’ convenience through Feb. 24. “Elder Mistreatment: Prevention of Abuse and Neglect (Part II)” will be available online from April 17 to May 19.

A certificate of completion and up to 10 CEUs per course will be available.
