Temasys Communications announced RxConcile has chosen its communications platform to power its virtual pharmacist app aimed at reducing patient readmissions with medication counseling.

RxConcile lets pharmacists connect online via live video and voice chat, with discharged long-term care patients and caregivers via a web browser in a fully secure, HIPAA-compliant environment.

The pharmacists can explain medication and record for secure playback.  The conversations are securely accessible via the RxConcile patient portal.

“This is a great example of the trend in ‘communication-core’ applications,” said Bent Rye, Temasys CEO. “We aim to help our customers deliver end-to-end engagement solutions, powered by embedded real-time communication.”
