Many operators are embracing new technology tools designed to improve care, operations and the bottom line. But two culprits – high expenses and poor internal collaboration – can undermine these efforts, according to a report from LeadingAge’s Center for Aging Services Technologies. Investigators also found traits that successful implementers shared. They include: a culture that values innovation, good champions, involved board directors, a willingness to outsource, a forward-looking information technology team, a take-charge approach and a commitment to clean up processes.
