OakView Health Center in Thousand Oaks, CA, recently named Jeannette Ruggiero as its new administrator.
In the position, she’ll be tasked with overseeing day-to-day operations, resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance and employee engagement, according to an announcement. OakView provides an array of services, including skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care, to both the public and to residents of the neighboring University Village Thousand Oaks, a continuing care retirement community.
“Jeannette’s experience in both retirement community health management and human resources is reflected in her strong leadership and management skills,” Robert Zitsman, executive director for University Village, said in the announcement. “Her solid background in staff relations and talent management will also serve her well while overseeing the daily needs and demands of the health center.”
Previously, Ruggiero worked as assistant administrator at OakView, following a long stint as head of human resources. A licensed nursing home administrator, she worked in HR at United Imaging in Woodland Hills, CA, and at Amgen in Thousand Oaks. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from California Lutheran University and lives in Camarillo, CA, with her family.
