Symbria has acquired therapy service contracts for 17 skilled nursing communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The deal went into effect July 1.

“We are pleased that this new business effectively expands Symbria's reach into New England, giving us a solid base from which to grow there,” Symbria President & CEO Jill Krueger said.

The acquisition added 170 employee owners to the company, which is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan company.

The new client group will also receive the Hospital Insights module of Symbria's Post-Acute Reporting Suite, which offers reliable quarterly reporting, the company said.
