STANLEY Healthcare has just announced a new partnership, which it hopes will help to make entryways at long-term care and senior living facilities safer.

The Waltham, MA-based company is partnering with Accushield LLC to offer its touchscreen visitor sign-in system as part of its portfolio of security solutions. This new sign-in method replaces the old school ways of paper visitor logs at entrances with a high-tech badge-printing tablet. Plus, the system also helps to confirm receipt of required credentials during the visit of outside providers and other vendors, according to a company announcement.

With the new agreement, STANLEY said it will sell Accushield in the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom as the only vendor to have such a relationship in the senior living sector.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Accushield to improve safety and security for senior living organizations of all kinds,” Greg Borecki, VP of senior living and fall management at Stanley, said in a press release. “Our two companies share very similar missions: creating a safe and secure environment in which residents can thrive and staff members can focus on delivering excellent care. The Accushield solution gives our customers a new tool to make this a reality by proactively managing a key aspect of security, while also improving service to residents and raising staff efficiency.”
