Simulation Education Solutions for Nursing was recently launched by the  National League for Nursing’s Center for Innovation in Simulation and Technology and Laerdal Medical to create effective simulation training for nursing students.

“A recent study showed that 96 percent of all accredited nursing schools use simulation in some form,” said David Johnson, Laerdal president and public member of the NLN Board of Governors. “SESN can help deal with the challenges that arise vis a vis curriculum integration, methodology, program support, and sustainability.”

SESN incorporates the Standards of Best Practice: Simulation from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Standards, and the guidelines produced by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, the company said.
