National Health Investors has said it has made a $17 million commitment for two senior housing properties with current tenant Chancellor Health Care.

That includes a $9.5 million acquisition and planned renovation of Woodlands Assisted Living in Baltimore, plus a $7.5 million commitment to construct a free-standing assisted living and memory care community on the Linda Valley senior living campus in Loma Linda, CA. The acquisition was funded from borrowings on NHI’s revolving credit facility.

NHI purchased the Linda Valley campus in 2012 and leased it to Chancellor Health Care.
