Ensuring that your nursing home stays compliant with patient-privacy regulations may have just gotten a little easier, thanks to a new partnership.

Leading long-term care vendor Prime Care Technologies recently announced that it is joining forces with HIPAA One, which helps providers to make sure they’re compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements.  With the partnership, users of Prime Care’s services will have access to HIPAA One’s cloud-based risk-assessment tools.

“HIPAA compliance and governance are top concerns for our long-term care clients, so we sought the leading solution to answer these needs,” Peter Teichert, VP of compliance at Prime Care Technologies, said in an announcement. “Now, with a trusted team of certified HIPAA experts, we can walk our customers through a comprehensive HIPAA risk assessment to more easily identify gaps in their policies and processes and manage the tasks to achieve HIPAA compliance.”

Atlanta-based Prime Care is one of the top providers of hosting and cloud software in long-term care, with its services installed in more than 6,500 facilities.
