Two health information technology companies are working in concert, hoping to help providers simplify revenue cycle management and billing.

Hands on Technology, which provides electronic medical records services to the rehab industry, is integrating the ABILITY Network’s revenue cycle management tools into its practice-management platform, according to a company release. With that, rehab providers will be able to simplify once-cumbersome tasks, such as verifying whether a patient’s insurance covers certain services, helping to prevent the delivery of “unreimbursed services.”

“By making sure that claims submitted to payers are clean the first time, therapists save money and staff time by reducing manual follow-up after the claim has been sent,” the release states.
