Tryko Partners LLC has bought two former ManorCare facilities totaling 254 beds in Maryland, the company announced.

Marquis Health Services, the firm’s healthcare affiliate, is the new operator at Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center (formerly ManorCare Health Services Woodbridge Valley) in Catonsville, MD, and Orchard Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center (formerly ManorCare Health Services Dulaney) in Towson, MD.

Marquis will invest $1.5 million in renovations at Meadow Park, including adding a pulmonary-cardiovascular program. It will invest $3 million in Orchard Hill, part of which will go toward adding a state-of-the-art gym.

Both facilities offer short-term rehab and long-term care services.

“Tryko and Marquis are already active in the Baltimore market, and for quite some time we have been looking for the right opportunity to grow our presence here,” said Tryko’s director of acquisitions, Uri Kahanow. “Skilled nursing trades in this market are rare, which made the opportunity to acquire two facilities at one time particularly attractive.”
