Wireless mobile technology that can track daily activities could give researchers important health data, new research suggests. In a recent pilot study, investigators outfitted eight elderly residents at a continuing care community with wireless mobile sensors. Data collected from these sensors could potentially help healthcare providers predict early symptoms of dementia, heart problems or depression, researchers said. Full findings appear in the July/August issue of Annals of Family Medicine.
