A new assisted living and memory care facility in Hanson, MA, is the first completed project by The Douglas Company in the state.

All American Assisted Living includes 48,000 square feet of new construction, valued at $6.9 million, and has 48 semi-private resident rooms. Other amenities include a salon, crafts room, library and media room.

Construction began in December 2012 and the project team faced two blizzards with snow accumulation of nearly three feet, but was still able to turn over the facility to the owner in just under a year. The building in Hanson is a prototype for four other facilities set to be built in the Greater Boston area, the company said.

The facility is owned by SHI – II Hanson LLC and architecture. Design was provided by Steve Humphreys, EGA Architects.
