Illinois Saint Andrew Society hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on May 12 for the Caledonian House, a new assisted living home for seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

The home will be on the Scottish Home campus in North Riverside, with room for 24 residents. Scottish Home was established more than a century ago by Illinois Saint Andrew Society, the oldest charity in the state of Illinois, and is supported by the Chicago Scots.
