Blood pressure monitoring watch gets tested

Hewlett Packard and partners are testing a watch that constantly monitors a resident’s blood pressure. The testing is being done at the firm’s Data Center Design for Cloud Computing Lab in Singapore. The watch, called HP’s Mobile Health (mHealth) Monitoring Solution, uses microscopic arterial pulse waves from the radial artery to monitor a patient’s blood pressure at the wrist. The product’s goal is to improve the early detection, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular conditions.
