Senior technology provider K4Connect raised nearly $8 million in new funding as it picked up a new partner that expands the kinds of digital experiences it can provide its customers.

The $7.7 million in pledges, led by Forte Ventures, brought the company’s total outside venture funding to $31 million. K4Connect is now providing connected-life technologies for thousands of residents at more than 800 continuing care, independent living and assisted living communities across the nation, the company said.

The new financing is expected to accelerate the development and deployment of solutions that support seniors and facility staff during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. A new partnership with Allbridge also will deliver K4Connect’s flagship solution, K4Community, with its advanced digital and information tools, to more senior living operators. Allbridge, which is based in Raleigh, NC, is an end-to-end provider that supports in-room resident technologies for data, video and voice, offering less expensive solutions that free staff to focus on internal IT priorities.

Allbridge will be reselling K4Community’s digital
signage; an insertion TV
channel used to communicate to senior living residents in their rooms; the K4Community Plus Mobile App to support video calling and engagement; and the K4Community Team Hub for comprehensive community management.
