» HealthDirect Pharmacy Services announced it acquired the long-term care pharmacy operations of Northeast Pharmacy Services in May. It’s the company’s sixth pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania. HealthDirect will absorb 26 long-term care professionals from Northeast, bringing its total number of employees to more than 1,000. The company has 25 pharmacies in eight states.
»Affiliates with TL Management and Fortis Business Holdings purchased the Buena Vida Continuing Care and Rehabilitation Center, a 240-bed skilled nursing facility, for $58.8 million in Brooklyn, NY, they said in May. The companies received $40 million in acquisition financing from People’s United Bank.
» Monticello said in May it provided $15.5 million in first-lien debt financing to acquire a 285-bed skilled nursing portfolio in Kansas. The financing will be used to acquire one skilled nursing facility, another SNF/inpatient rehab facility, and refinancing two other SNFs. The transaction’s sponsor is an experienced owner and operator that has a portfolio of 945 licensed beds and an established relationship with Monticello.
