A certified nursing assistant was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and resisting arrest after she allegedly hit her former boss with a car last week.

Abbey Taylor told a Jacksonville TV station she got into an argument with the nursing home administrator Jan. 19 when she showed up to get copies of her old pay stubs. She denied striking the 53-year-old woman with her car.

But the administrator at The Terrace of Jacksonville told police she rolled up onto the hood of the car Taylor was driving, and the car’s windshield was damaged. The administrator suffered a fractured ankle and had to be treated by paramedics.

The incident, which happened outside the nursing home, was captured on the facility’s surveillance system.

According to a police report, the suspect hit the victim then drove past the her twice, circling through a roundabout while she was on the ground. The video then shows the suspect leave the parking lot without rendering aid.

When she was arrested at her home later that night, police allege Taylor resisted arrest.

The CBS affiliate in Jacksonville reported Taylor was hired despite a 2012 charge of domestic battery, which was later dropped. In the police report, she listed her current employer as a group home for people with disabilities.
