Pioneer Network will host its annual conference next week from Sunday to Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.

With the theme “Be the Future,” the goal of the conference is to showcase innovative thought and practice for the long-term care culture change movement. The organizers said they are working toward a future where the culture of aging is life-affirming, satisfying, humane and meaningful.

The conference will also allow people interested in culture change to network with each other as well as meet with more than 30 vendors. Opportunities for continuing education credits will be available.

The keynote speaker for the luncheon plenary will be Ashton Applewhite, an activist and the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.
