Ellen Shaver, M.D., the chairman of FirstApprove, announced the launch of the CopernicusMD Platform, a patient-centric (SaaS) suite focused on patient financial responsibility for any procedure.

The system allows caregivers or facilities to assess a patient’s carrier eligibility and carrier pre-approval. It allows providers to solve “the ever-growing copay and deductible dilemma,” the company said.

The system brings back all outstanding AR receivables, allowing physicians and providers to create a precise re-engagement plan to maximize internal AR collections, the company said.

CopernicusMD will be at HIMSS in Orlando this week.
