McKnight's 5th Online Expo expands ... to six months duration

A record number of people took part in the Fourth Annual McKnight’s Online Expo on March 24 and 25 and, not coincidentally, they earned a record high number of free continuing education units. More than 2,700 people registered for the “virtual” trade show, garnering more than 2,200 continuing education certificates.

“This year’s Expo was the most successful yet,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor. “The speakers all seemed to hit the ‘sweet spot’ based on attendees’ many kind letters of appreciation. We’re thrilled with the outcome.”

The two-day event featured educational sessions on creating very satisfied residents; wound care; market conditions and capital accumulation; payment policies and MDS 3.0; and the use of technology.

The sessions can still be heard, and all of their handout materials are still available, for a limited time in our online archive. Anyone interested needs to be sure to complete the no-cost, obligation-free registration here. Then, simply navigate to the sessions or browse the exhibition hall.

We received literally hundreds of positive letters and comments about the Expo. Among them:

—“I was thrilled to be a part of the McKnight’s Long-Term Care Expo. It not only provided a convenient way for a leisurely perusal of new products, but it enhanced my time with the offering of CE’s. I would gladly participate in future offerings of this nature.  It was fabulous!”

—“Absolutely loved it. Being a small facility in the middle of nowhere, with no budget for sending employees anywhere, it really was refreshing to be able to take part in such an informative program. I visited some of the booths, took part in classes, and was very surprised when my questions that I asked during the presentations were immediately answered. Thank you so much.”

—“This is my second year attending the online Expo … I love it. As a matter of fact, I forward the information to my corporate office and several of them also attending. They in turn passed the information along to ALL of their administrators. This is a great idea.”

—“I felt the Expo was really a great event. The interface was very nice and easy to navigate, the vendors were ‘present’ at their booths and were available for answering questions or having a discussion and the speakers were also top notch. Best of all, the CEUs you offered are NAB approved (which covers both my NJ and MD NHA licenses) and came at a great price. Thanks for organizing this Expo and I look forward to attending another soon.”

—”This was my first experience attending a virtual expo and I was very impressed, not only by the information available from the vendors, but the extremely well done presentations.  I will definitely recommend that other members of our team view the archived presentations and I have provided vendor information to the appropriate departments. Thank you for the opportunity.”
