Daniel Rutherford Wilson

Daniel Rutherford Wilson has joined the Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute as its director of federal affairs.

Wilson was most recently the national and federal programs director at Compassion & Choices. For a decade, he was the executive director of policy and program development at the National Caucus and Center on Black Aged.

He also has been a public affairs officer with the Office of Management and Budget and staff assistant for U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-NY).

He is a co-chairman of the 2016 “Aging in America Conference.”

Wilson completed an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science degree at the University of the District of Columbia, and has also earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University.
