Dean Owrey

Vincentian Collaborative System, a not-for-profit healthcare and human services organization, has named Dean Owrey chief financial officer.

Owrey has more than 30 years’ experience in financial leadership in Western Pennsylvania. He most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer for UPMC Enterprises and UPMC Corporate Services. At UPMC, Owrey led the adoption of award-winning technology business management principles and oversaw a $700 million budget. Prior to joining UPMC, Owrey worked for many years at Ernst & Young, where he led teams across healthcare, insurance and other portfolios.

He begins his new role at Vincentian Feb. 3. Vincentian offers a continuum of care for more than 2,000 seniors and children per year at seven sites across Allegheny County.

“Dean’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for our organization as we usher in a new era of progress and innovation at Vincentian,” President and CEO Nick Vizzoca said. “Dean will help us leverage opportunities that will further advance our impact in the community while supporting and enhancing our mission of compassionate care.”

Prior to joining UPMC, Owrey worked for many years at Ernst & Young, where he led teams across healthcare, insurance and other portfolios.

Owrey has served as a board member for several non-profit organizations, including as treasurer for the American Red Cross-Southwestern PA Chapter.
