Eleanor Ryan, RN, BSN, has been named Director of Resident Care at The Village.

An aging services provider based in New Canaan, CT — has welcomed three new managers to its leadership team in 2018.

Michelle Ernst comes aboard as director of development. She lives in New Canaan and previously worked in roles at the New Canaan Nature Center and the local community foundation. In her new role, she’ll be tasked with overseeing Waveny LifeCare Network’s development operations and annual fundraising.

Stella Clarke, meanwhile, is the organization’s new director of volunteers. She previously served as the mission director for Noroton Presbyterian Church of Darien, and helped to mobilize 1,000 Darien volunteers to pack some 200,000 meals for Feed My Starving Children MobilePack.

And finally, Eleanor Ryan, RN, BSN, is Waveny’s newest director of resident care at The Village, the providers award-winning assisted living community, which focuses on memory care for those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. She’ll be asked to lead Waveny’s assisted living nursing team, managing day to day operations for the facility.

“While I have served seniors in many nursing capacities and settings, my favorite area of nursing has always been assisted living,” Ryan said in an announcement. “I love focusing on the personal touch involved with our care, and the socially rich lifestyle we provide at The Village.”

Along with assisted living location, Waveny LifeCare Network offers independent living at The Inn, skilled nursing, and inpatient and outpatient rehab services. It also includes the Brown Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, an adult day program that provides free door-to-door transportation throughout much of Fairfield County and an array of other community-based services.
