Nature Trail Health and Rehab Center named Susie Williams, LNHA, its executive director in late March.
In her new role, Williams oversees all aspects of the 74-bed skilled nursing facilitylocated in Mount Vernon, IL.
Williams has nearly 30 years’ experience in the healthcare field. Most recently, she was an administrator at Westside Rehab and Care Center in West Frankfort, IL. She began her career as a certified nursing assistant and has held numerous positions in the field, including activities director, business office manager, supervisor and restorative aide.
“Working in healthcare has been a calling,” she said. “I became a skilled nursing executive director because I felt that to truly make change, I needed to grow my voice for the residents.”
She obtained her long-term care administration certificate from the College of DuPage, in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Williams is also a mother of five and has 10 grandchildren.
