Potomac Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a five-star-rated and JCAHO- accredited facility recognized for its clinical excellence and outstanding customer service, is pleased to announce the hire of Kathy Heflin as the facility’s new nursing home administrator.

Heflin began her career in the long-term care industry in the late 1970’s with Manor Care. After several years of managing ManorCare facilities in Maryland and Virginia, she was promoted to a Regional Vice President for Manor Care. She then joined Genesis HealthCare as a regional vice president for 19 years. Heflin graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

“I had the privilege of working with Kathy for years in various roles and was always impressed with her tireless dedication, passion for her work on behalf of her team of staff members and patients, and her consistently high levels of medical outcomes and resident satisfaction levels,” said Sayed Elsayyad, M.D., chief medical officer and a partner at Montgomery Medical Associates, as well as chair of family practice at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland.
