Michell Staska-Pier

Allentown, PA-based Phoebe Ministries has promoted Michell Staska-Pier, RN, LNHA, to vice president of healthcare services.

In this role, Staska-Pier provides oversight, direction and strategy to support innovation and delivery of services at the four Phoebe Continuing Care Retirement Communities.

Staska-Pier has progressed steadily through clinical and operational positions at Phoebe since being hired in 2004 as the director of nursing for Phoebe Allentown. In 2009, she was promoted to executive director, leading campus operations for eight years until her appointment in 2017 as executive director of operations for Phoebe Ministries.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kutztown University and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Joseph’s University.

Tracy Roman, RN, LNHA, has been appointed to fill Staska-Pier’s former regional operations role.

Roman began her employment in 2000 at Phoebe Richland, where she served as nursing coordinator, staff development coordinator and director of nursing. In 2011, she was appointed assistant nursing home administrator for Phoebe Allentown, followed by a promotion in 2012 to executive director of Phoebe Richland.

Roman holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kutztown University and a master’s degree in business administration from DeSales University.
