Margaret “Maggie” McDowell, R.N., has been promoted to administrator of Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County in Joliet, IL.
McDowell has more than 30 years of nursing experience, most recently as assistant administrator at Sunny Hill. Prior to that, she served as director of nursing at Holy Family Villa, a Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Chicago skilled nursing facility.
Raised in Ireland, McDowell started her career in England. She attended Sir Gordon Roberts College of Nursing in Northamptonshire and De Montfort University in Leicester. She started her career at Leicester Royal Infirmary, then moved to Rush Medical Center in Chicago, where she served as one of the hospital’s first clinical nurse coordinators.
