Pennsylvania’s Masonic Village at Elizabethtown has hired Matthew Mayo as assistant executive director and nursing home administrator.

Mayo previously was nursing home administrator for the 198-bed ManorCare Laureldale in Berks County, PA. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in business administration, both from York College of Pennsylvania.

His 15 years of long-term care experience includes a stint as regional director of operations for 10 buildings in central Pennsylvania. At Elizabethtown, Mayo is responsible for compliance, directing the planning process for the implementation of new healthcare services, and ensuring successful financial performance from healthcare departments.

The not-for-profit Masonic Villages has five locations, provide a full continuum of retirement, personal care and nursing services.

Other recent appointments include Mike Rowe as executive director and Brendan Degenhart as director of mission review. Rowe previously was executive director of Patriots Colony Life Plan/Continuing Care Community in Williamsburg, VA. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Degenhart, of Harrisburg, PA, previously was chief financial officer at Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree from Penn State University.
