During his tenure at ACTS, he expanded the company’s ministry, which now includes 23 continuing care retirement communities in eight states, a company press release said. LeadingAge PA awarded him a lifetime achievement award in 2011.

He received both his undergraduate degree in accounting and his Master of Business Administration degree at Penn State University. He was recognized as an Alumni Fellow in 2007.

“The past 23 years at ACTS have been the most enjoyable and rewarding years of my professional career,” Mashner said in the company’s news release. “… ACTS has become a leader in the industry, and I’m proud of all that our staff has accomplished and excited at what the future holds for this special organization.”

Mashner will continue as president until his retirement date in June 2013.
