The Admiral at the Lake, a Kendal life care community in Chicago, named Zina Kind director of information technology in early January.
Kind will focus on smart technology, managing the community’s network infrastructure and various other technologies implemented throughout the community. Zina’s role expands beyond equipment. She will drive creative ideas to improve workplace efficiency and help ensure the community is more prepared to address future needs.
Kind previously served The Admiral as an informational technology manager. Her first focus in her new role will be expanding the use of Alexa devices for smart properties, so that residents can take advantage of more amenities in their apartments. She is also tasked with streamlining digital communications, including digital signage and how that can integrate with apps and other services.
“Zina brings a strong background in technology support analysts, operations management, and has a demonstrated track record of setting and reaching goals,” said CEO Nadia Geigler.
Kind graduated from DeVry University with a bachelor’s degree in technical management, and she is an active member of Sigma Beta Delta, a scholastic honor society for students in the fields of business, management and administration
