Psychologist Benjamin A. Bensadon, Ph.D., Ed.M., has joined UF Health and will be seeing patients at the UF Health Senior Care Clinic-Springhill and on a consulting basis.

He was previously at Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.

Bensadon is an associate professor in the UF College of Medicine’s department of aging and geriatric research. He focuses on seniors with depression, anxiety or other challenges and makes them more confident in their medical decision-making.

Bensadon worked as a mental health counselor in Brookline, MA, and as an administrator manager for Massachusetts Homes & Services for the Aging in Boston.

He completed his bachelor’s degree at Boston University and holds a master’s in psychology from the University of Florida. He finished his doctoral training at the University of Florida and a postdoctoral clinical research fellowship at the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatric Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
