AMS Onsite, an infection control and prevention clinical practice dedicated to the long-term care community, has named Ellsworth Harris CEO.

Harris co-founded AMS Onsite in 2018 with Chairman Patrick Britton-Harr. He will now be responsible for leading the company’s operations and business development, while Britton-Harr will focus on strategic initiatives.

AMS Onsite’s certified infection preventionists deliver infection control leadership, support and training to meet the heightened infection control standards adopted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

“Several years ago, I took a keen interest in following issues related to antibiotic resistance and infection prevention in long-term care,” Harris said. “It was clear then — as it is even more so today — that new care models are needed to serve and support our nursing home population. I’m honored and humbled to lead this ‘front-lines’ clinical practice.”

Harris has held various operations and business development roles in the long-term care community for more than 15 years. Most recently, he served as chief sales and marketing officer at Real Time Medical Systems.
