The nomination deadline for the 2023 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program has been extended until midnight Tuesday (Jan. 10).
For the fifth year in a row, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care are honoring female leaders in skilled nursing, senior housing and home care who inspire their colleagues and residents.
The standard deadline was set for today (Jan. 5), but organizers are offering an extended window for individuals interested in nominating deserving individuals in their respective fields. Entries received by midnight today (Thursday) will still be granted the early-bird entry fee.
This unique McKnight’s recognition program has honored nearly 200 top women leaders in five categories since its inception. The categories are: Rising Stars, Veteran VIPs, Hall of Honor, a Spirit division, and Lifetime Achievement Award winners.
Eligible candidates work as managers, executives, corporate executives, direct care providers and owners in skilled nursing facilities. Also honored will be those working in independent living, assisted living, memory care and life plan communities, as well as home care.
Women who serve their field indirectly, as association key employees or academicians, for example, also are eligible. Individuals working for vendor companies are not eligible.
All honorees will be celebrated at a gala banquet in May in Chicago that this year will be preceded by continuing education sessions at a same-day special forum offering CE credits. Additional details about all activities will be announced in the coming weeks.
