Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Tennessee touted the benefits of its Meaningful Day program and SimpleC technology platform to earn a Gold Award in McKnight’s 2015 Technology Awards.

In the years since, Morning Pointe has expanded SimpleC via tablet for residents to use in its 28 communities. The program has helped with resident redirection and communication within the communities, and is continually evolving as the “technology continues to change and how we use it changes,” says Amy Clarke, vice president of corporate communications for Morning Pointe.

“SimpleC has been a wonderful asset in our communities for our residents and families,” Clarke says. “We have discovered along the way that residents really enjoy using the SimpleC Community Connect together in group activities.”

Some communities, residents and families use the technology more than others, she notes. Moving forward, those differences will help Morning Pointe explore the system and adapt it to the providers’ changing needs. Clarke adds Morning Pointe is continuing to seek out “strategic partnerships” with technology vendors.
