Janet Yellen

Janet Yellen, Ph.D., the former chairwoman of the Federal Reserve board of governors, will headline the speakers and events at the fall meeting of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care from Sept. 11-13. Events will take place at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

Yellen, the first woman to hold the Fed’s top post, was named the second most powerful woman in the world in 2014 by Forbes magazine. Her views on President Trump’s tariffs, interest rates and unemployment will be among the top subjects attendees will be eager to hear.

The annual NIC meeting also will feature a closing keynote address by Joseph Coughlin, Ph.D., founder and Director of the AgeLab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

More than 3,000 attendees are expected to fill eight formal (and many other) networking opportunities, 14 breakout sessions and eight NIC Talks (modeled after 12-minute TED talks).
